We’ll be doing some calling on the Lord, and some keeping down of the Devil, on home turf at Whitley Bay’s newest hostelry, Oxygenic; to celebrate the release of our debut album, ‘Neckties and Boxing Gloves’

Rather than play the album in its entirety, we’ve decided to celebrate the extensive Waits religious canon with a Sunday service of songs warning you of Satan’s deeds and explanations of the whereabouts of Christ!

Come along to hear the songs of Tom Waits warning us of the Devil’s wiles and Jesus’s imminent arrival, all performed to a back drop of piano, spanners, bass and beer, on the Lord’s own day.

After ‘Tom’s Sunday Service’, another fine coastal dweller, DJ Bobbi Charleston – founder member of dance collective ‘Swing Tyne’ and front woman of ‘The House of Black Gardenia’ – will be playing from her unique selection of R & B, Blues, Soul and global grooves.

Sunday 3 May, Doors 2:30PM, music 3:00PM

Oxygenic, 169 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, NE26 2DN

Tickets – £8 entry only, £14 with album CD
